Its that time again. The weekend! Here is what we have been up to this week.
We started off the week over at Nana and Papa’s new house. They were kind enough to purchase some fun “gym” toys for Randsom and Emma to use- which has been great! We loved going over and run enjoying the new set up. It is also really helpful for Randsom to get in some practice with balance and coordination.
This week, Randsom has his Batman dreams come true. I purchased him a “blue” batman costume, and I have never seen a child more happy. He has been asking to dress up as a “blue Batman” for months now. I have no idea why he loves the vintage Batman so much- but I love it! He was so happy about his new costume that he hasn’t wanted to take it off! We went to the park to feed ducks the next day, with Batman. All very exciting.
Next, the kids and I picked up Daddy from school, and headed over to our local fair. This was the first time Randsom had ever been to a fair- and it was a blast! We all enjoyed seeing the animals, booths, and even riding a few rides.
Over all, we had a pretty great week! Hope you did as well, and enjoy your weekend!
Please forgive my lack of posts the last two weeks. We were on a family vacation back to the Midwest to visit family. It was so much fun and I will have lots to share about that another day. But today I want to share something that happened yesterday…
Randsom turned 3!
He woke up to balloons in his room, which he loved! It was hard to sneak those in after he fell asleep the evening before, but somehow I managed not to wake him up!
He requested pancakes for breakfast, so obviously that is what he got! I included sprinkles, because its not really a birthday unless you have way to much sugar.
We let him open a few of his presents in the morning because we had plans to be gone all day. He loved the Avengers wrapping paper so much that it took a little convincing to get him to rip open the paper. But once he did, he loved all his presents!
Next we loaded up for a long drive to the big city! We headed to the Children’s Museum where we stayed and played for several hours!
We stopped for a quick lunch before heading over to the park. We saw ducks and geese, ran around, and enjoyed playing on a huge slide. Randsom was getting pretty tired (he woke up extra early!) so we decided to head back home soon after that.
When we arrived home, we played with his new birthday toys and I made pizza for dinner. We enjoyed birthday cake, which was followed by a much needed birthday bubble bath!
Overall, I think Randsom had a very special day. It was hard for this mama not to be sad that I couldn’t throw him a birthday party, but we just don’t know that many people here yet. Maybe next year I will be coming at you with a big birthday bash.
We are so blessed to have this little man in our family! I can’t believe that 3 years ago he was born via emergency c-section, and we didn’t know what his future would be like. He has amazed us every day with his intelligence and gentle spirit. So thankful that I get to be his mama!
